What we collect

There are no accounts or comments. If you use a guide's report form or its “Installed this pair?” buttons, we store what you send (the product, your message, the link you give, and an email address only if you add one), plus a one-way hash of your IP address to limit repeat submissions — never the address itself. Reports are used only to check and correct the guide. Your vote is also remembered in your own browser's local storage so the button shows you already voted.

Analytics

We measure traffic in two ways, neither using cookies nor tracking you across sites. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views. Our own first-party analytics records which pages are viewed, how far you scroll, how long you stay active, the referring site, your country and device type, and which outbound or eBay links are clicked. It identifies a visit with a random per-tab ID kept in session storage (gone when you close the tab) and a daily visitor hash built from your IP address and browser details, so the IP address itself is not stored. These records are deleted after 180 days. Our host may also keep standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security, under its own retention policy.

Cookies

AunChecked sets no cookies of its own. When you click an outbound eBay link (marked rel="sponsored"), eBay may set its own cookies on eBay domains to attribute qualifying purchases. We do not control them; see eBay's privacy policy.

Third-party content

Product photos are loaded from eBay's image servers. That is a plain image request to eBay; no eBay script runs on this site.
